I have split the post into two and published them both at the same time. This first post is going to be the more positive part of the trip, or the first 12 hours. There will be happiness, smiling and laughter because those things encompassed those hours and are worth remembering. The second post will be about the last 18 hours, which were quite different.
Months ago some of my very best girlfriends from Germany and I decided to take a girls only trip to Paris. We chose the weekend of the 13thbecause it was one of my friend’s birthdays and it was right before another moved back stateside. We got an apartment in the 18th district of Paris, very close to the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur and within the main city limits. We booked a tour for the weekend of the 14th that included dinner in the Eiffel Tower, a Seine river cruise and a show at the Moulin Rouge. It was going to be amazing and wonderful and we could not wait for it. It had been 3 years since I had taken a girls-only trip anywhere, so I was so excited!
Another random thing: they had a Christmas zombie ride that was the worst 5 Euros I have ever spent and not worth mentioning any further.
We were laughing and joking and carrying on until 10:45. That’s when we got a phone call from Terra’s mom and everything changed.
